     I've led quite a full life up to this point. I spent a childhood with great parents, who instilled in me a respect for the spiritual and moral dimensions of life as well as a love for community and the environment. I've travelled all over the world and lived in some incredible places, grown organic vegetables in 4 different states, guided tourists down whitewater rivers in Idaho, studied the impacts of the evolving world on the poor in Costa Rica, met and married a wonderful woman (Christiana), and a lot more.

      But none of this really started to deeply make sense until I met my Spiritual Teacher, Andrew Cohen, who's teaching of Evolutionary Enlightenment has given me (and many others) a context for human life at the dawn of the 21st century that is nothing less than extraordinary. What's so amazing about this particular philosophical/spiritual framework is that it not only adds a much-needed sacred dimension to secular postmodern life, but it explains and amplifies the impulse I've felt my whole life to create a better world.
   
     I've just begun working for my favority magazine on the planet, What Is Enlightenment? in which I get the opportunity to work very closely with Andrew Cohen, who is the founder and editor in cheif and my fellow editors, Carter Phipps, Elizabeth Debold, Ross Robertson, Tom Huston and Carol Raphael. It's an incredible place to work, because we're always pushing into new territory together. And the way we explore new topics and our own writing is a uniquely collective endeavor!
